                                                                    Help Arrives

The Dying King pictured on the home page and gallery page show the sculpture, cast in 1991, installed at the Utsukushi-ga-hara Open-Air Museum in Japan. This is a remarkable site, but far away. The distance makes it difficult for many people to go to see it.

So I want as many people as possible to see the images of this sculpture. If you find it interesting, please tell anyone you know who might want to see it. Please do go to the full-screen view on the gallery page.

I hope that some of you who see this will look at the image over and over until it becomes very familiar: this is one way to progress from just seeing a work of art to knowing it well.

I am fortunate, after many years, to now (Summer, 2021) have another bronze cast being made to be placed where people can go to become familiar with the real thing: there is so much more to it than any photograph can show.

A generous person has made funding for this new cast available.

The casting was completed in September 2021 and will be placed north of Taos, New Mexico in 2023.

Images of this new casting are on the Dying King Finished Images page.
